

Live without Wars is a project of Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers and initiated by 30 ordinary Afghan youth from all ethnicities.
On March 17-
On March 17, they will celebrate a Day of the People’s Peace by walking hand-
On March 20, 2011, they will participate in the Global Day of Listening Skype-
On March 19, they will meet in a garden plot where they will plant trees of peace. On the evening of March 19, they will light fiery candles of grief for all the youth and children of Afghanistan and the world who have been killed in conflict and in wars.
They are exploring the feasibility of organizing similar actions in two or three of the other 33 Afghan provinces, either simultaneously or consecutively.
